Title: "Interplay of relativistic and quantum-mechanical effects in atoms and photons"
Abstract: The rapid development of tabletop technologies in the past few decades has inspired several research directions that aim to test the interplay of quantum mechanics, gravity, and relativity. In this talk, I will discuss two proposals to witness new quantum relativistic effects in the dynamics of photons and trapped particles. I will explain how these different approaches may inform us about the quantum nature of gravity.
