Abstract: Our project of civilization is at a crossroads and inaction can be disastrous to our collective future.
Clearly, fear is not working as a way to push forward a new worldview where we exist symbiotically with the planet.
In this talk I’ll touch upon some of the central ideas of my book, in particular connecting Copernicanism and
modern astrobiology to propose a new, post-Enlightenment worldview, centered on a biocentric view, a view that places
our living world as a rare and precious planet and asks for a new moral stance from humanity, inspired by a multicultural
way of thinking about the world and our relation to it.
