Abstract:  Hisslers are dispersive phenomena that can be found in the 5 to 40 kHz range of the ionosphere with similar appearance to the well-known whistler.  Hisslers are an understudied phenomenon with less than half a dozen papers mentioning them.  Using data collected at South Pole, I will identify trains of hissler events and quantify physical parameters such as maximum and minimum frequencies, occurrence during the time of day, and fitting parameters, and identify whether relationships exist between these parameters.
