Kai Herron

I am a graduate student in Professor Burçin Mutlu-Pakdil's research group. I am currently working on a search for low-surface brightness galaxies within Y6 of the Dark Energy Survey. These galaxies are difficult to detect because they are fainter than the night sky by definition, and may provide us with clues to understanding galaxy evolution and other aspects of cosmology. I am also interested in using dwarf galaxies as laboratories for dark matter theories and galaxy evolution.
