Abstract: Heterogeneous computing architectures support a wide range of computational sciences. Amazon Web Services (AWS) provides high-performance computing solutions and managed services that leverage a diverse portfolio of computing hardware for computationally intensive workloads. Quantum processing units represent a new category of accelerators, with the potential to address computational applications beyond what is currently tractable with classical computers. The integration and deployment of hybrid quantum-classical resources is an active area of research. This talk will introduce the AWS quantum technologies effort, e.g., Amazon Braket and the AWS Center for Quantum Computing, and hybrid quantum-classical solutions and workflows that enable scientific research.
