Abstract: The MMS mission was designed to study the process of magnetic reconnection. But in order to understand that process, it is extremely helpful to be able to visualize the structure of the magnetic field at a reconnection site. Various techniques have been developed to do this. Here I will emphasize techniques using observations of the magnetic field and current density by four spacecraft in order to model the magnetic field using polynomial functions. I will also show recent results that allow determination of the structure velocity relative to the spacecraft. The method is tested using results from one of Yi-Hsin Liu's 3D particle in cell simulations.
