Abstract:  Abstract : The axion is one of the favorite candidates for dark matter as it is a dark matter candidate that simultaneously also explains why the neutron electric dipole moment is small.  We describe the basic parameter space spanned by axions as well as the many and varied ways in which it can be searched for.  We enumerate a few of these methods ranging from laboratory based experiments such as cavities and interferometers to astrophysical systems such as white dwarfs and neutron stars.
