I work on a variety of topics in cosmology with my advisor Stephon Alexander. We have explored the process of reheating after inflation and proposed a novel mechanism for it using gravitational waves as an intermediary. We have also investigated the possibility that dark matter exists in a coherent quantum state and whether this can alleviate some of the problems of the usual models.

Most recently we have a proposed an alternative to the string multiverse for explaining the apparent fine tuning of nature's constants. Our alternative consists of a cyclic universe where the constants can change randomly from one cycle to the next, providing a mechanism for producing different 'universes' with different sets of constants.
